Exterior

Pure quality throughout, this 2017 Auto-Sleeper Topaz is a luxurious two berth campervan. This particular example is the last Topaz that came off the production line after they ceased production of the model, making it an extremely rare offering on the market. External design is superb; metallic silver paint provides a sharp look, whilst alloy wheels enhance further. The extremely well made GRP high-top is a signature feature of the Topaz, with a cut out in the back to allow the tailgate to swing upwards. As this Auto-Sleeper is based on the window-van Transporter, you get glass windows all round, as opposed to plastic. The nearside positions a sliding door, with soft close function, along with the water inlet point. The electric hook up point, Truma gas vent cover and the fridge ventilation points can all be found on the offside. You have a refillable gas system, proving particularly useful. A television aerial, reversing camera, tow-bar and parking sensors complete the list of external specification.

Cab Area

Auto-Sleeper have earned a reputation of high quality and exceptional design, and the Topaz is no exception. The quality of the fixtures and fittings is second to none, everything is perfectly placed, whilst the plush upholstery provides oozing comfort. Taking a look at the front cab area you will see that twin seats are housed, both of which have the ability to rotate. In terms of equipment you have: ABS, power steering, cruise control, ASR, air conditioning, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, parking sensors with indicator and a multimedia system. The base vehicle of the Topaz is another reason as to why it is so popular. A 2.0TDI Volkswagen Transporter provides a smooth but responsive drive. This is further enhanced with the DSG 7 speed automatic gearbox. This example has covered just 16,400 miles from new.

Lounge

Just behind is the lounge area, consisting of a forward facing seat and a side sofa. The area is sumptuously lit, thanks to side windows, a Heki and cabin windows integrated into the GRP high-top, all of which come equipped with blinds and have the ability to open, allowing fresh ventilation to flow through. When it comes to sleeping you have two options; a large double bed or two singles. Flattening the single seat and the sofa, you can position the fill-in cushions to deal with gaps. The bed fits together tightly and is very easy to configure.

Kitchen

The Topaz’s kitchen is split into two units, which face each other across the ’van’s central corridor. On the offside is a Dometic dual fuel fridge freezer unit, whilst a stainless steel sink can be found above, and comes equipped with a chrome mixer tap and a folding glass cover. Directly opposite you have a Smev two burner hob, which again comes with a folding glass cover. Storage facilities can be found below within a drawer and a cupboard.

Washroom

One of the main elements of the Topaz's layout is the end washroom. Many campervans of this sized tend to struggle with washroom facilities, however the Topaz houses a convenient and well thoughtout setup. Entering through the sliding door you will find a Thetford electric flush toilet, whilst the sink unit folds down just above and comes with a chrome mixer tap. The shower head is just to the left and again is chrome. Opposite is a storage facility, forever proving useful. To complete, you have access to the gas locker at the rear of the Topaz.
