We are pleased to present this stunning 2008 Carthago M-Liner 67, which offers the highest level of luxury and comfort throughout. Carthago have earned a reputation for being one of the highest quality brands within the industry, starting with the design and leading to the immense level of sophistication in detail. With double-floor insulation, this motorhome is designed to be taken into all climates and is the ultimate European tourer. This particular example has been fitted with a huge level of optional extras, making it even more desirable. Starting with the exterior, you will find that the M-Liner has a striking appearance, with a streamlined body-shape and a coordinating graphics scheme. The coach-style mirrors are another excellent addition and provide a perfect view to the rear of the motorhome. Taking a look on the offside you will find a fully reinforced habitation door, equipped with double locking by way of two solid bolts and a BKS security lock. An electric fold out step is neatly hidden away into the side spoilers when not in use, and provides east access into the motorhome. An abundance of lockers are also located on the offside, offering access to beneath the double-floor, access to the Thetford toilet locker (where two cassettes can be found) and access to the large insulated fresh plus waste water tanks, optimising weight distribution. The tanks are heated to make them completely frost-proof, and are accessible via the floor in the living room too. A huge Omnistor roll out awning is also positioned on this side, and creates an outdoor living space when desired. One of the main highlights of the 67 is the huge rear garage you get, which is accessible on both sides of the Carthago. The facility is fully insulated and heated, and has metal flooring, making it perfect for storing a motorbike. A shower unit can also be found within the garage, proving very useful. Additional lockers can be found on the nearside, one of which contains 2 x 210Ah leisure batteries, providing the Carthago with an excellent amount of power. SOG is also fitted, allowing the Carthago to be used on European sites. To the left you will find the gas locker, which stores 2 x 12Kg refillable Gaslow cylinders, conveniently placed where the fuel filler cap is too. Moving to the rear you will see that a fully reinforced tow-bar has been fitted, ideal if you wish to tow a car. The reversing camera is located above. To complete the list of external specification, you have two roof-mounted rigid solar panels and a Maxview self-seeking satellite system. The overall external appearance of this motorhome is very impressive indeed, it has been constructed to the highest quality and is a rare piece to find.
Internally the Carthago is truly exceptional. The highest quality of furniture construction has been applied, thanks to Carthago Durafix assembly technology assuring long-life, stability and quiet running. The high precision assembly is carried out with screws and additionally morticed with nut and flute. The ergonomically formed upholstery consists of several layers of foam with Teflon coated covers, providing the upmost comfort. Taking a look at the cab area you immediately notice the exceptional headroom and space on offer. The cabin concept is also exemplary. The original drivers cabin unit, including all safety features has been raised and also moved forward. In this way, more floor space is created throughout the motorhome. Due to this modification of the chassis, the cab seats are also fitted at a higher level and significantly nearer the windscreen, ensuring optimum all-round vision and a view of the road surface at a distance of less than three meters. In terms of driving specification, you have: ABS, power steering and cruise control. Other specification includes electrically operated wingmirrors, a Pioneer multimdedia system including the display of the reversing camera, air conditioning and blinds which enclose on each window, including an electric one for the front window. Additionally, this M-Liner has been fitted with rear axle air suspension with axle lift, a £3,500 option when new. The base vehicle is the excellent Iveco Daily 3.0L 4 Cylinder 177hp engine, twin rear wheel drive, with a 6 speed automatic gearbox, providing efficient fuel economy and power when required. This Carthago has covered just 30,800 miles from new.
Moving into the lounge area you will see that you have a large L-shaped settee and a side sofa, which when accompanied by the cab seats rotating offers a fantastic social setup. The forward facing section of the L-shape is equipped with two three point seat-belts, taking the total to four. The area is sumptuously lit with natural light sources, including the optional Seitz Heki 3 panorama electric raising roof-light, costing £750. When it is darker, an assortment of soft lighting options provide the area with ambience. For dining there is a high quality table fitted on a strut, whilst storage facilities can all be found within overhead lockers and space beneath the seating. Entering through the habitation door you will find a glass cabinet on the left hand side, which contains Carthago branded glasses, providing a very nice touch indeed. Wall mounted Carthago clocks are also present, emphasising the level at which this motorhome stands on the spectrum. As this example has been fitted with the Technical Plus Pack, you get a 2400 watt Truma Saphir Comfort air-conditioning system, with remote control. This innovative system is hidden away and provides cold air through ventilation points, particularly appreciated in warmer climates. As part of the Quick Up Pack, you get a pull out 19" flat screen television, hidden behind the side sofa, directly wired to the Maxview self-seeking satellite system. To complete the lounge area you have the ability to configure a further double bed. The table lowers and the cushions fold down, creating a very comfortable setup.
As expected, the kitchen has been designed to maximise convenience when cooking. An abundance of storage space can be found within lockers, cupboards and drawers. The metal slides of the drawers feature roller bearings and are made to household quality. Further practical elements are the ample depth, the cushioned closing mechanism and the snap-in latch. The solid hinges on the cupboad doors are fitted with a strong spring and the double-sprung damper avoids a noisy opening process. When it comes to equipment you have a Smev oven/grill unit neatly integrated on the left hand side, again this was an option. Above is a three burner hob, complete with a glass cover. The kitchen worktop is finished in Corasan granite-anthracite, providing a warming combination with the wooden furniture finish. The wash basin is located to the right of the hob and has a chrome mixer tap along with Corasan covers, allowing you to utilise the area for preparation when not using the sink. Directly opposite you will find the Dometic dual-fuel 175l refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment. The unit is finished in a matching wood cover, to blend with the surroundings.
The bedroom area is the highlight of this M-Liner's layout. Entering through, you will find the premium fixed island bed, fitted with a hugely comfortable mattress, which assures a fantastic night's sleep. Because the garage is set so low, there is a very good feeling of space within the bedroom area. Overhead lockers are very useful for storage, along with a wardrobe to the right of the bed. Lighting is provided through side windows and a mini Heki, whilst soft lighting options provide ambience when it is darker. You will see that a radio is fitted to the left of the bed too, whilst each occupant has a shelf. A wooden door can slide across if you wish, secluding the bedroom area from the rest of the motorhome.
The washroom area is located between the kitchen and bedroom. Split into two sections, the area is spacious and has a clever design where you can close the door and slide the bedroom door across, creating an enclosure. Taking this into consideration, it is possible to section the Carthago into a three room motorhome. In terms of washroom equipment you have a Thetford C250 electric flush toilet on the offside, with a wash basin on the right, equipped with a chrome mixer tap and a vanity unit below. The wash basin along with the shower unit are also finished in Corasan granite-anthracite. Lighting is sumptuous, you have ambient tubes either-side of the mirror and addtional spot lights surrounding the area. The separate shower unit is positioned on the nearside and has two drainage points, a sliding soor and chrome fittings.
