A very special campervan has just arrived with us having been taken in part exchange.

This VW T25 Westfalia is chassis number 00001, the very first T25 Westfalia off the production line back in 1984 which makes it overly special.

Once built, this campervan was used as a demonstrater by Westfalia in Germany. She remained in their ownership for a number of years, always serviced, and finally came to the UK in 2005.

Since then, it has undergone some serious retoration however the previous keeper was very conscious with regard to keeping the campervan as original as possible so despite many parts having been replaced, the only obvious things I can see that were not on the camper when new are x2 13 amp plug sockets, the radio/cd player and a small built in inverter.

Everything else has been detailed to match when new.

Finished in the original factory colour, the body has been stripped back and completely repainted to an extremely high standard. Windows out, screen out, doors off.

There is no orange peel effect, all the lines are in the correct format, she even has the correct chrome insert strips around the screens.

Original cabinetry, tables, upholstery, cooker, sink, fabric wrap around internal blind, original flyscreens, The canvas around the roof has been renewed to give a fresh look.

Engine has had a part rebuild and was serviced last in 2024 along with a new mot. It has not been detailed and again looks very original. Starts on the button, no blue smoke, exhaust replaced 2023, engine cover left in it's original white colour.

There is no rust in this camper, the underside has been wax oiled to protect it, all wheel arches to the same.

There is a great deal of service history both when in Germany and then in the UK, along with all original handbooks.

This can still be used as a daily campervan but in reality, because it was the very first P25 Westfalia off the production line, it warrants going into a collection.

I cannot emphasise just how nice it is throughout.....not concorse as it has retained a lot of originality but nevertheless, it is pretty exceptional, particularly with the fairly new coat of paint.

These P25'sare only going up in value at a high rate of knots and this one, because of it's condition and history will rise faster than others.

We will not take a part exchange and definitely cannot arrange finance on something of this age.
